“Art is the
meeting ground of the world inside and the world outside.”
— Elinor Ulman
The mission and standards that I abide by within my practice are grounded within the values of respect, empathy, honesty, and cultural sensitivity. I believe that it is important not only to stand by these values, but also to embrace and understand the values of each individual client that I work with.
As an RCC (registered clinical counsellor) and Art Therapist, I aim to provide a safe space in which clients can feel comfortable to work through each individual issue in a supportive nature.
Using art mediums can be helpful within therapy not only to facilitate discussion, but also to bring a consciousness to internal experiences. Additionally, the process of art making and utilizing expression can aid the progression of healing.
